Cancer Research Saves Lives

Your support makes a difference!

100% Research since 1945

For over 75 years, the Cancer Research Society (CRS) is one of the only Canadian philanthropic organizations entirely dedicated to funding research on all types of cancer.

Since its inception, the CRS has supported thousands of researchers who have made significant advances in cancer prevention, detection, and treatment.

Research is the key

Through the generosity of thousands of donors and various partners across Canada, the CRS has distributed more than $388 million in research grants and scholarships over the past 75 years.

This demonstrates its impact on cancer research and, inevitably, on patients suffering from the disease and their families.

Our impact

supporting advances

Through our funding programs, we support hundreds of researchers at different stages of their careers, whether they are established researchers or promising students, all dedicated to making significant advances in the prevention, detection, and treatment of all types of cancer.

Each year, the top-ranked research projects, as determined by our expert committees, receive the necessary funding.
