iA Financial Group: a Partner to Accelerate Cancer Research and Maximize the Impact of Donations

February 28, 2025 – The Cancer Research Society (CRS) is proud to announce a strategic partnership with iA Financial Group which will fund innovative cancer research projects and support a matching gift initiative.

This financial support, totalling $130,000 over three years, represents an essential lever for the CRS to accelerate research and improve prospects for cancer prevention, detection and treatment.

Thanks to this partnership, iA Financial Group positions itself as a key player in advancing cancer research. On the one hand, their support will make it possible to award two Doctoral Research Awards and one Operating Grant, helping to train the next generation of scientists and encourage innovation in oncology. On the other hand, part of the funds will be used to match donations as part of a targeted initiative, doubling each contribution and accelerating the funding of promising cancer research projects.

“iA is very proud to help and to contribute to the Cancer Research Society. We recognize the incredible importance of the research effort that is supported by the great work of the Cancer Research Society.  I am personally involved because giving back is fundamental for me and an important part of the iA culture.”

– Sean O’Brien, Executive Vice-President, Chief Growth Officer US Operations at iA Financial Group and member of the Cancer Research Society Board of Directors

“This partnership with iA Financial Group demonstrates its leadership and strategic commitment in the fight against cancer. By joining forces, we maximize the impact of our investments and advance research for the benefit of all Canadians.”

– Manon Pepin, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cancer Research Society
