$1 million raised thanks to the 2023 Challenges

We are proud to announce that the Challenge Against Cancer program has raised the incredible sum of $1 million net for cancer research in 2023.

This program not only provides candidates with a unique experience of surpassing themselves, but also raises funds to advance cancer research. 2023 also marked the return of its overseas destinations and the redefinition of its brand image: moving from the SRC Challenge to the Challenge Against Cancer program.

Seven remarkable destinations were on the schedule this year: Jordan, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Canada (Newfoundland), Peru and India, a trek in which our spokesperson André Robitaille took part in. 99 participants walked more than 580 kilometers in these different countries, in honour of a loved one. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for the energy they put into supporting our mission!

Thanks to them and their predecessors, the Challenge Against Cancer program has raised more than $4.5 million net for cancer research since the initiative began in 2010. Here’s proof that the dedication of participants elsewhere goes a long way to helping our researchers continue their quest to outsmart cancer here at home!
