Special Projection of ALINE

$20,000 to Benefit Cancer Research

On Thursday, September 16th, distributor Maison 4:3 and producer Caramel Films organized a special projection of Valérie Lemercier’s movie Aline, which is loosely based on the life of Celine Dion, to benefit cancer research.

In addition to supporting cancer research, the evening gave the spectators and artists on hand a chance to see the much-anticipated film prior to its movie theatre release.

The projection was a huge success and raised close to $20,000 for research! The money will help us to fund some of the most promising projects across Canada. The Cancer Research Society is so grateful for this initiative.

The partnership between these organizations has just begun, so stay tuned!

“This fundraising evening allowed us to raise close to $20,000. We are pleased to continue this collaboration with the Cancer Research Society by offering people the possibility of making donations during our future promotional projections, premieres and events.”
– Chantale Pagé, President of Maison 4:3

Recall that the film ALINE will be in theatres across Quebec as of November 26, 2021. Here is a summary of the film’s storyline:

Quebec, end of the 1960s, Sylvette and Anglomard welcome their 14th child: Aline. In the Dieu family, music is king and as Aline grows, her gift of an angelic voice is discovered. When he hears her voice, music producer Guy-Claude only has one idea in mind … making Aline into the world’s greatest singer.
