André Robitaille will do a Challenge in India!
With his 30-year career as a comedian and host in Quebec, and with his great sensibility to the mission of the Cancer Research Society (CRS), André Robitaille is not only our spokesperson, but a valuable ally for us. His involvement helps us raise public awareness of the importance of research to better prevent, detect and treat all forms of cancer. Accompanied by his wife Julie Boisvert and about twenty participants, he will fly to India to take on a Challenge against cancer from June 2 to 14.
The CRS Challenge Against Cancer program allows participants to surpass themselves during a sporting event and to explore the world, while raising funds for cancer research. Each of these challenges has a special dimension for the people who take them, because each step has a name: that of a family member, colleague or friend who has been diagnosed with or died from cancer.
“I’m going to make a real difference in research with my walking boots! I am ready to leave for a Challenge against cancer that will be a human challenge!”
-André Robitaille, actor, host and spokesperson for the CRS
In preparation for their challenge in India, André and the other participants took part in a training session on March 18 at Mont St-Hilaire. During this day, they had the chance to test their equipment and of course, to meet each other.
Participating in our Challenge Against Cancer program requires rigor, determination and endurance. It also requires a willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty for the benefit of cutting-edge research. We thank André and all the participants for their contribution to our mission, because alone we go fast, but together we go further to advance cancer research!
