2022 Urban BBQ

Hosted by RBC Royal Bank (Quebec) on Tuesday, June 14th, the 8th edition of the Urban BBQ in support of the Cancer Research Society (the Society) raised $625,000 which will be dedicated to cancer research.

This fundraising event was held at the Grand Quai du Port de Montréal and is an annual summertime gathering which brings together members of the business community to support the Society. With nearly 900 guests in attendance, the event was once again an enormous success this year and included a summertime BBQ feast prepared by Chef Marc-André Jetté, an appearance by Ricardo Larrivée, Urban BBQ Ambassador, and André Robitaille, the Society’s Spokesperson.

Since it began, the Urban BBQ has raised over $3.4 million to help the Society fulfill its mission of financing the best Canadian research projects on all types of cancers.

The Society would like to offer its warm thanks to the partners who have made the 8th edition of the Urban BBQ possible, including RBC Royal Bank (Quebec), Presenting Partner, and Econo-Malls, the Prestige Partner, as well as all of our other partners. The support of Ms. Nadine Renaud-Tinker, President of RBC Royal Bank in Quebec –Honorary Chair of the event– and Mr. Jean-François Prince, Regional Vice-President, RBC Royal Bank –Chairman of the Honorary Patrons’ Committee–, has been invaluable to the success of this event. The Society would also like to thank all of the Honorary Patrons, participants and donors, as well as the many volunteers who helped throughout the day.
