3rd annual “Accords Célestes” evening raises $100,000

Montreal, October 28, 2020 — Yesterday’s Third annual “Accords Célestes” evening, benefitting the Cancer Research Society, raised a net total of $100,000, with all proceeds dedicated to cancer research. We are very proud to announce that our dining experience packages were sold out which is a testament to the solidarity and support of our participants to the event and to cancer research.

Accords Célestes is an annual fundraiser during which guests enjoy an evening of fine diningwine and music all combined for the pleasure of the senses! Due to COVID-19, the event took place virtually this year, but it proved to be a great success.

A revamped 3rd edition

During this completely revamped edition, participants were able to enjoy a performance by Quebec singer Matt Holubowski, while savouring, in the comfort of their own home, a four-course gourmet menu presented by renowned chef Antonin Mousseau-Rivard and his brigade from Le Mousso restaurant, all in perfect harmony with the wines of guest producers Bachelder and Hope Family Wines. Some participants enjoy a Masterclass of wine given by Thomas Bachelder one of the great Canadian wine producers whose teachings focussed on the appreciation of pinot noirs and chardonnays. The entire evening was masterfully hosted by André Robitaille. The interactive auction also raised funds, thanks to the generous donors. “As tragic as it is, the health crisis created by COVID-19 should not blind us to the importance of continuing our collective battle against cancer. As our recent campaign reminds us, cancer never takes a break. And the key to dealing with this disease continues to be research,” said Manon Pepin, President and CEO of the Cancer Research Society.

We would like to thank the members of the Organizing Committee -a devoted and caring team of volunteers -as well as all our partners, including our friends at Céleste Levure who made this third edition possible. Heartfelt thanks to our Corporate Partners to SFL Gestion de Patrimoine, Sollio Groupe Coopératif, TD Securities, Benny & Co, NATIONAL, ALFID Services immobiliers, Groupe Jean Coutu, Médicaments novateurs Canada and ROBIC for their precious financial support.
