How to donate during the postal strike
Earlier this month, Canada Post employees began a series of rotating strikes, and the situation seems to be escalating. This strike inevitably impacts your charitable donations. You may be wondering how best to make a gift to the Cancer Research Society to ensure we receive it and that you in turn receive your tax receipt.
What is the best way to donate?
We accept credit card donations online and over the phone. The easiest way to donate is through our secured donation forms. It takes a few seconds to do and you will receive your electronic tax receipt within minutes.
You can also phone us at 1-888-766-2262. Our agents will process your donation and can also send you a tax receipt by email.
What happens if my donation is already in the mail?
There is a strong possibility of a delay in receiving your donation. When we do receive it, we will process it as quickly as possible. If you requested that a tax receipt be mailed to you, you may also experience a delay in receiving it. To avoid any delays in obtaining your tax receipt, we recommend that you provide us with your email address so that we can send you an electronic copy of your tax receipt.
