Creation of the Michel Louvain Research Fund
The Cancer Research Society (the Society) is proud to announce the creation of the Michel Louvain Research Fund in tribute to the icon who marked Quebec’s musical scene for over 60 years.
Mr. Louvain died from esophageal cancer on April 14, 2021, and his family would like donations in his name to be made to the Cancer Research Society in an effort to contribute to outsmart cancer.
“The Cancer Research Society is honoured that Mr. Louvain and his loved ones have chosen to support cancer research. For us, it is a powerful message that the real key to outsmart cancer lies in innovative and promising research projects. I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Louvain’s family and to all those who will help perpetuate the great artist’s name through this Research Fund.”
– Manon Pepin, President and Chief Executive Officer, Cancer Research Society
