2nd edition of Denis Dionne’s Traversée

Walking to Benefit Cancer Research

We are very happy to announce that the second edition of Denis Dionne’s Traversée du Québec to benefit the Cancer Research Society will be taking place from May 1st to May 31, 2022. The initiative will allow this committed volunteer, and all who choose to join him, to take up the challenge of walking up to 1,250 km while collecting donations for cancer research.

In 2021, Denis Dionne undertook the challenge of travelling across Quebec on foot, covering over 1,250 km from Percé to Gatineau for the cause. Thanks to his dedication, over $16,000 has been raised to help the Cancer Research Society to fund some of the most promising cancer research projects.

Therefore, it is with great enthusiasm that Mr. Dionne has chosen to undertake this challenge once again, but with a different formula this time. Indeed, this time Mr. Dionne is inviting participants throughout Quebec to join him and walk alongside as well as raise funds themselves.

“Denis Dionne is a true ambassador for the Cancer Research Society. Over the past years in addition to the Traversée, he has taken part in a CRS Challenge in 2019 where he raised $12,645 and discovered Patagonia. He has also registered for a challenge in Cambodia (2024) for which he has already raised $11,200. We are very proud and grateful to be able to count on his involvement and devotion.”
– Sonia Chatoyan, Director, Development and Event Management

“No matter the amount, all donations are essential to helping us support the best possible research throughout the country. I am proud of being involved once again this year so that I can create awareness among the greatest possible number of people.”
