Accords Célestes: A sold out first edition to outsmart cancer

Montreal, November 5, 2018 – When it comes to supporting cancer research, the Cancer Research Society is never afraid to break new grounds. On Tuesday, October 30, 2018, the Society launched a new unique signature event, Accords Célestes, attended by 350 delighted guests. Organized in partnership with La Celeste Levure, the sold out event raised $65,000, which will be entirely allocated to cutting-edge cancer research.

Accords Célestes promised a unique experience, enhancing the traditional food and wine pairing, by adding a third dimension: music. To achieve this promise, the Society collaborated with the very best in town. Chef Antonin Mousseau, owner of the award winning restaurant Le Mousso, created a menu especially for the occasion. Five world-renowned wine producers – Patrick Piuze, Thomas Bachelder, Penny Murray, Paolo Marchi and Vincent Priou – presented their wines and the melodies they chose to accompany them. Between classic concertos, jazz and Pearl Jam, the musical ambiance culminated with a captivating and intimate performance by Charlotte Cardin and Aliocha.

« The event is sold out and our guests are thrilled! It is an incredible success for a first edition. It reflects the deep commitment of the public in supporting cancer research. Today more than ever, outsmarting cancer is within our reach and events like this one help us make giant leaps towards this objective, » declares Max Fehlmann, President and Chief Executive Officer at the Cancer Research Society.
