Accords Célestes event breaks records with $303,000 raised!

The 6th edition of the Accords Célestes event presented by The MTY Group on October 17 was once again a huge success! We are proud to announce that a net amount of $303 000 was raised for the Cancer Research Society (CRS). The entire amount will help fund numerous cancer research projects.

The event took place at the Maison Principale in Montreal, and we were lucky enough to have our spokesperson, André Robitaille, – host the evening! The atmosphere was simply sublime, as Cœur de pirate performed to the accompaniment of her piano!

On the menu for this magnificent evening were delicious wines from producers: Arnaud Lambert, Champagne Moutard, Château Fortia and Séguin-Manuel. None other than celebrity chefs Antonin Mousseau-Rivard (Le Mousso and Le Molière par Mousso), Francis Blais (Menu Extra) and Marc-André Jetté (Hoogan & Beaufort, and Annette wine bar) made our guests salivate with their delicious menu.

For 6 years now, this benefit event, created in collaboration with La Céleste, has raised over $1 million, enabling the CRS to carry out its mission of funding the best research projects on all types of cancer across Canada, particularly in the area of prevention, as chosen by the event’s organizing committee.

We would also like to thank our media partner Cogeco Média and all our sponsors, as well as the organizing committee, participants, donors and volunteers for their involvement in making this evening a success!

“Unfortunately, cancer remains the leading cause of death in Canada. What’s more, with a growing and aging population, the number of new cases of cancer increases year after year. An event like Accords Célestes is therefore an excellent initiative that enables us to fund a greater number of research projects to prevent, detect and treat cancer.” – Manon Pepin, President and CEO, The Cancer Research Society

We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
