8th Edition of the Journée de la Marche du Rêve

Walking for Cancer Research and for Hope

The Cancer Research Society (the Society) and the members of the Journée de la Marche du Rêve are proud to announce the 8th edition of the Journée de la Marche du Rêve, which will take place on July 24th, 2021.

The Journée de la Marche du Rêve gathers seasonal campers, travelling campers and even visitors who are passing through the Camping Domaine du Rêve for an activity-filled day that includes the walk, a cans and bottles drive, a hot-dog lunch, a silent auction, the lighting of hope lanterns and so much more. This year’s fundraising objective is $13,500.

Recall that just like the previous events, the 2020 edition was a real success. Having raised over $12,000, the organizers brilliantly adapted the activities to comply with health regulations while allowing participants to fully enjoy a day of raising money for cancer research.

The Society would like to acknowledge the remarkable work accomplished by the volunteers who have been organizing the event since it began in 2014. It is thanks to them, as well as all the generous participants, that over $70,000 has been raised so far; donations that are entirely dedicated to cancer research.

“Knowing that 100% of the funds go to research is a source of inspiration for us. When we collect the donations, we can tell that people trust the Society. Research is the way of the future, it’s something we all believe in. We have every confidence that participants will come out in droves, just like in previous years, and we will have great activities to offer them!”

– Julie Duguay, Member of the Organizing Committee
