Cancer Heroes Campaign Raises Over $280,000
For the second consecutive year, the Cancer Research Society initiated a digital donation drive featuring cancer heroes, which ran from November to December 2021.
These cancer heroes are, of course, the people who are facing up to this disease and who are survivors. Fundraisers have been developed for them. The heroes are also the caregivers, the doctors, the nurses, the researchers who rely on research to thwart cancer, and of course the Society’s donors, without whom it would not be possible to help prevent, detect and treat cancer through research.
The campaign, with a target of $200,000, was a resounding success, raising over $280,000. These funds will enable the Société to finance some of the most promising research projects to better prevent, detect, and treat cancer.
The Society extends its gratitude to all donors and supporters of this campaign, including André Robitaille (ambassador), Gregor Reid (researcher), Ismaël Gueymard (survivor), Lucy van Oldenbarnaveld (ambassador), Maya Shmulevitz (researcher), and Suzanne and Louis Daubois (donors).
