Participants will meet at Montreal- Trudeau airport and flight to Delhi.

Arrival in Delhi in the evening, then transfer to your hotel in Delhi.

Breakfast at your hotel. Departure for a city tour of Delhi with, among others, the visit of the site of Hyumaune tomb, India Gate, Jantar Mantar, Rajgarh and the National Museum and the tour of Kutubminare. Night at the hotel.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel before participants’ transfer to the airport for their flight to Leh, a city in the desert of the Himalayas located in northern India. A day will be dedicated to acclimatization with a tour of the Indus Valley and the monasteries of Thiksay, Hemis and Shey Palace, the capital of the kingdom in the 13th century. Next, you will visit the Hemis Gompa Monastery, the largest spiritual monastery in Ladakh with over 500 monks. Then, visit of the monastery of Thiksay, located on the right bank of the Indus, about twenty kilometers from Leh. Night at the hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel, departure from Leh to reach Likir about 1h30 drive, following by a visit of the monastery and then we begin a short trek to the village of Yangthang. We climb gradually and cross two small passes before reaching Yangthang, a pretty village of about twenty houses. Overnight homestay.

After breakfast at your guests’ home, we start the day with an hour of flat hiking then we gradually climb to the Sarmangchan La pass (3,880 m). Following by a short descent to Hemis Shukpachan village. After dinner, visit the small monastery with a superb view of the village. This is an opportunity to meet the locals. Night in Guest house in the village of Hemisshukpachan.

After breakfast, we walk the first hour on flat and after a short descent, we climb to the Mebtak La pass (3,890 m). Then, descend to Ang and Temisgam. After tea, we will take a short tour and visit the 14th century village palace from where we can enjoy a panoramic view of the snowy peaks to the north of the Indus Valley. Night in Guest house in Temisgam.

After breakfast, we leave the valley, cross a small river (bridge) and continue to walk on a stone road to Temong La (3,900 m). From the pass, we climb calmly to 4,040 m. From the pass, there are two paths that lead to Skindiang, the goal of the day. We take the right road to reach the valley. It is possible to see the remains of the Tibetan buildings at 3,640 m. In the evening, visit the village of Skindiang. Overnight at Guest house in Skindiang.

After breakfast, we leave by vehicle to reach Lamayuru by a beautiful winding road, then we visit the monastery of Lamayuru (11th century) perched on a rock overlooking the village. There are many hiking opportunities around the village of Lamayuru. Night at the hotel.

After breakfast, it is the most beautiful day of hiking in terms of landscapes. The color of the rocks changes depending on the daylight and contrasts with the brilliance of Moonland Lamayuru. We climb Prinkiti La (3,750m). After a good rest, we begin our descent to Wanla, then drive to Alchi and visit the monastery. Then, 3 hours drive towards Leh, and visit Phyang built at the beginning of the 16th century. Phyang Green Village is located 17 kilometers from Leh. Free evening in Leh. Night at the hotel.

Breakfast at your hotel and flight to Delhi. Transfer to your hotel to drop off your luggage and short 5 minute walk to reach the metro station to get to Old Delhi. Discovery of Old Delhi by walk with your local French-speaking guide. Return to your hotel. Farewell dinner in a typical restaurant Night at the hotel in Delhi.
