Heather’s journey is one of resilience and hope, a testament to the life-changing power of cancer research. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at just 39 and faced the disease head-on. She went through surgery, radiation, and many rounds of medications and hormone therapy, determined to keep moving forward. Twelve years later, her world changed once again when the cancer returned, this time more aggressive and metastatic.

Thanks to this advancement, I gained access to a combination therapy that helped control my cancer. Today, after 188 treatments, I am in remission and cherish every precious moment with my husband Don, my children, and my grandchildren, milestones in their lives that I once feared I would never witness.
