Participants meet at Montreal Trudeau airport. Assistance for registration and departure for St. John’s, Newfoundland. Upon arrival, you transfer to your lodging in Tors Cove region, in a cozy cabin, situated around a main cottage where you will meet every mornings for breakfast and at the end of each hike for dinner.

Start for your first day of trekking on very wild land. You hike on Beaches and Tinkers trails along the coastline giving great viewpoints and access to the beach, opportunities for birdwatching, whale watching and sighting icebergs depending on season. Picnic along the way and head back to your stay at the end of the day.

After breakfast, start on your next easy hike to further your warm-up going through the remainders of La Manche village. Cross a 50-meter suspension bridge going through Bauline, St. Michaels and Burnt Cove communities. Head back to the cottages later in the afternoon.

Distance : 18 km / Elevation +/- 710m / Approximate duration : 9 h

Today’s hike starts at the easternmost point of Canada at the national historical site of Cape Spear’s lighthouse. You then walk along the ocean with a clear view opening up to potential whale sightings. This trek ends at the fishing town of Petty Harbour where your driver will meet up with you.

After a good breakfast, leave for a day of hiking that will start on forest trails leading up to La Manche provincial park, the grounds of yet another magnificent panorama on the coast and steep cliffs!

Distance : 13 km / Elevation +/- 550m / Approximate duration : 6 h

The day opens toward a more technical walk on a rough terrain. You will start at Blackhead before transitioning into the forest that will let you peek through the ocean here and there, and perhaps a few bird species before ending with a descent into Forth Amherst, which lays into the suburbs of St. John’s.

Distance : 24 km / Elevation +/- 1500m / Approximate duration : 9 h

This last day is dedicated to an easier hike in and around St. John’s. Going along Rennie River, you then go round Quidi Vidi Lake leading into Signal Hill’s historical site, remembering the town’s history and the role it played in the history of communications. You then walk another extra 30 minutes at the trails exit to get into St. John’s where you will have some free time to walk around and enjoy the city before returning to the cottages.
