Together, Let’s outsmart cancer

Cocktail Reception in support of the Cancer Research Society.

August 20th 2025

A leader in advancing cancer research in Canada

Year after year, the Cancer Research Society receives an incredible number of grant applications, demonstrating how essential it is to actively support research. In 2023-2024, a record number of 260 projects were supported through our annual and targeted programs, representing a $15 million investment across Canada.

Over the past five years, the Cancer Research Society has invested more than $7.5 million in British Columbia. This has contributed to funding over 50 innovative cancer research projects, including 3 clinical trials. This investment reflects our commitment to advancing critical breakthroughs in research to better prevent, detect, and treat all types of cancer.

RBC has been a dedicated partner of the Cancer Research Society, supporting our mission to fund groundbreaking research and advance the fight against cancer. Thanks to their support, we can continue making a real and lasting impact in accelerating cancer research.

Together, let’s outsmart cancer.

Cancer is a complex disease; we must constantly innovate in order to find better treatments. Research brings hope, but it must be constantly evolving. It is a real team effort where the diversity of expertise is put to use. The support of the Cancer Research Society is essential to nurture the ideas of researchers like me. Without this support, I and other researchers would not be able to do the work we do, to make the discoveries we do.
