André Robitaille
The cause of cancer has been on my mind for years. My niece died very quickly from ovarian cancer at the age of 42. She never saw it coming. It obviously affected me a lot and I don't want to go through that again; I don't want anyone else close to me to go through that.
A Dedicated Spokesperson
Renowned for his performances on stage and television, notably as host of Les Enfants de la télé, André Robitaille is a valuable ally of the Cancer Research Society (CRS), which he has supported as a spokesperson for several years. His commitment is reflected in his active participation in a variety of initiatives, from hosting several of our signature events such as the Urban BBQ and Accords Célestes, to taking part in major fundraising campaigns.

Behind Every Life Saved, there is Research
For André Robitaille, supporting research is not something abstract: through his commitment, he has seen the concrete advances it makes possible.
“It’s not just statistics: thanks to research, people are regaining their health, their jobs, their daily lives and their loved ones. That’s the real miracle!”
In particular, he recalls the glowing comeback of a colleague who overcame her illness, as well as the powerful stories of participants in the Challenge Against Cancer program, met during two unforgettable challenges in which he took part as an ambassador.
On the roads of India

“We don’t give for an abstract concept, we give for faces, for stories, for second chances. It’s the testimonies that stay with me, that touch me, these young people, these families, these loved ones who have gained a few years of life, sometimes even remission. Research is what pushes back the limits of the impossible.”
As he reminds us, the benefits of research are not always immediate, but they are very real. “Every gesture and every donation contribute to advances that save or prolong lives.”
In the heart of Cambodia
In 2024, during his second Challenge Against Cancer, André Robitaille delivers a touching and human immersion in Cambodia.

For André, being a spokesperson is much more than a symbolic commitment: it’s a profoundly human mission, to make the voices of those who are going through the disease, those who hope, and those who live, heard.
“Research works. Thanks to it, our society is better informed, better supported and better prepared to outsmart cancer.”
And behind every breakthrough is the dedicated work of passionate researchers, whose commitment transforms hope into concrete progress.
