More than $256,000 net raised thanks to our year-end campaign
Our year-end campaign under the theme #CancerHeroes raised more than $256,000 net that will allow us to finance more research projects that are amongst the most promising, to better prevent, detect and treat all types of cancer.
This all-digital initiative took place in November and December 2022. With this campaign, we wanted to recognize and support all the cancer heroes in our lives: patients in remission or who keep going in spite of the disease, researchers dedicated to advancing research, caregivers, members of the hospital staff and every person who takes the time to make a donation to support research.
“We believe that our donors are also among those heroes, because without them we wouldn’t be able to fulfill our mission. Let’s not lose sight of the fact that research is the key to outsmart cancer and it is through it that will emerge such important breakthroughs that will impact patients and their families. My wholehearted thanks for your support!”
– Manon Pepin, President and Chief Executive at the Cancer Research Society
You are 3,179 people who have made a donation as part of this campaign and we thank you warmly for joining us in this fight against cancer! In your own way, you are all cancer heroes and we are very grateful. Thanks to your donations and your commitment, we are able to make a real difference and be agents of change for future generations.
“Upon hearing the diagnosis, I thought about my children, about how I was going to calmly tell them the news and how I was going to overcome this challenge. Thanks to research, once my operation was completed, I was able to receive a new protocol of combined chemotherapy to reduce the risk of recurrence. I feel such a deep sense of gratitude toward all of the researchers who made these treatments possible and accessible, and ultimately toward each person who made a donation and thereby hastened their discoveries.”
