Doctoral Research Awards

Objectives

The Doctoral Research Awards program is open to graduate students pursuing cancer research at an eligible Canadian institution. The goal of this program is to support the future generation of Canadian researchers.

Program information

IMPORTANT: Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or hold a valid student permit and must be residing in Canada for the entire period of the award.

Eligibility
Applicants must have completed at least 12 months of full-time study (but no more than 36 months) in a doctoral program at a Canadian university by September 1, 2024.
Budget
The amount of a doctoral research award is $70,000 over 2 years ($35,000 per year).
Application process
Eligible applicants will have their applications evaluated by a peer review committee.
