Receptionist and Donor Relations Agent

Under the supervision of the Manager of Accounting and Administration and in close collaboration with team members, the incumbent supports our numerous donors over the phone throughout all stages of the donation process. The incumbent also participates in various administrative tasks related to opening donation envelopes and data entry.
This position requires a high level of versatility from the incumbent, given the variety of tasks, which include constant phone work and administrative duties.

Main Responsibilities
- At the reception desk, the incumbent must greet visitors and provide general information; notify employees of a visitor’s arrival; collect donations at the door and issue temporary receipts; receive deliveries (envelopes and packages) and inform the appropriate staff members.
- Ensure that visitors are greeted with courtesy, attentiveness, tact and professionalism during phone or in-person interactions.
- Carry out follow-up communication to respond to donor requests and update their profiles.
- Provide administrative support for donation processing and ensure accurate updates to the Raiser’s Edge database.
- Perform required clerical follow-ups for various fundraising programs.
- Open mail and process donations.
- Perform other assigned administrative or clerical tasks, including data entry.
Requirements
- College diploma in office technology or a similar field (or equivalent)
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English, with excellent communication skills
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of proven customer service experience (telephone, in person, correspondence)
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven experience in a call centre environment
- Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams)
- Knowledge of databases such as Raiser’s Edge (an asset)
- Familiarity with the philanthropic field (an asset)
